The Challenge:

Revitalizing the Flyers Community Social Media Presence

From the winter to the summer of 2018, I was tasked with running the obsolete Flyers Community Social Media Channel, which has since been integrated into @flyerscharity.

The primary challenges were:

  1. Low Engagement: The channel was struggling with low engagement and visibility within the community.
  2. Lack of Content Diversity: There was a need to diversify the content to showcase the various ways the Flyers were positively impacting the community.
  3. Event Coverage: Effective coverage and promotion of community events and initiatives were required to boost the channel’s relevance and reach.

The Solution:

To overcome these challenges, I implemented a strategic approach focused on content development and community engagement:

  1. Diverse Content Creation:

    • Actionable Step: Developed a variety of content to highlight the Flyers’ community engagement efforts. This included posts about hosting midget teams, honoring veterans with custom jerseys, and sharing stories of brotherly love.
